The Gentili Mosconi Foundation
The Gentili Mosconi Foundation is a tangible expression of the Group’s commitment to the future and to collective well-being, both locally and internationally. With the status of a Benefit Corporation, the aim of creating shared value has been strengthened. In the spring of 2024, investments in culture and creativity were further increased. The establishment of the Gentili Mosconi Foundation is an important milestone in this journey.
In our vision, culture and creativity are powerful levers for regeneration, serving as indispensable cornerstones in shaping the world of tomorrow. The Foundation embraces a human-centered identity, committed to promoting sustainability across its three interconnected dimensions: environmental, social, and economic.
This is why the values that guide our work and our choices as a Società Benefit – Responsibility, Beauty, Tradition, Well-being and Courage – in the Gentili Mosconi Foundation are translated into 5 essential actions: protect, incentivise, transmit, improve and research.
The Mission
The strategy of the Gentili Mosconi Foundation is functional, combining ideas with the collection of talents and resources to promote the development and achievement of creative skills. The Foundation is a non-profit organisation. Our mission is to preserve, protect, promote and valorise the textile, artistic and creative heritage of the Made in Italy brand. This immense heritage has always been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for new fashion and design collections. In this sense, the Foundation is committed to supporting creativity in all its forms, from art to fashion design, encouraging the emergence of young talent and putting people first. The Foundation is also committed to preserving the heritage of textile and creative craftsmanship, including by promoting sustainable fashion initiatives and raising awareness through correct information.
Our Network
The Gentili Mosconi Foundation is dedicated to listening and dialogue at a global level, with the objective of promoting initiatives of collective interest that reflect the Group’s five values:

Since 2024, the Gentili Mosconi Foundation is part of the Como UNESCO Creative City Governance, a network bringing together entities and institutions committed to territorial regeneration and international cooperation.
The Generative Archive
The Gentili Mosconi Foundation’s flagship project is the development of a creative hub. The aim of the Generative Archive is to develop the skills of students, designers, artists and creatives by creating new connections.
The project promotes a dynamic and inclusive approach, not limited to raising awareness of heritage conservation. To realise this vision, the Gentili Mosconi Foundation, with the support of Gentili Mosconi S.p.A., aims to build a network of experts in the fields of fashion, textiles, visual arts and creative disciplines. The aim is to create an interdisciplinary dialogue and to organise workshops, exhibitions and educational programmes.
The project is based on a tangible and intangible heritage of inestimable value:
- 80,000 drawings, constantly updated to increase know-how
- 2,300 garments and accessories, testimony to style, innovation and craftsmanship across time and cultures
- More than 1,500 antique books, a historical corpus that weaves together fashion, textiles, literature, science and art
- Artistic archives of international importance, acquired to promote and enhance the interaction between textiles, fashion and art.
