Our company

Since 1988, Gentili Mosconi has been creating and producing printed and dyed fabrics, with jacquard and yarn-dyed processes, fabrics with original prints, garment prints and other special processes for the most important luxury fashion brands as well as for furnishing sector and luxury yachting.

Each product is a masterpiece of design and is born inside the Creative Department of the company, which is divided in departments for Design and for Product. The creatives of the company draw inspiration from contemporary ideas as well as from the company’s historical archive, which includes thousands of handmade designs, printed fabrics, patterns, accessories, clothes and a collection of books and publications from all over the world.

The product is manufactured in the Como area, making use of a supply chain rich in craftsmanship and excellence that includes two companies controlled by Gentili

Mosconi: Stamperia Emme, a printing mill, and Tintoria Comacina, a dying mill, both specialized in the treatment high-quality fabrics.

Creazioni Digitali joins the group in 2024 to expand the digital printing service.
Elle.A.Ci.Ti, a ISO 17025 certified laboratory, works with the company to achieve the highest standards of quality and compliance with customer specifications.

Gentili Mosconi opens an office in New York City to provide better service to its customers.

OUR PRODUCTS

Gentili Mosconi’s creations are distinguished by the prevalent use of silk, the heritage and tradition of the Como area, and other materials such as cashmere, cotton, wool, linen, polyester and nylon. The company is continually researching new, more sustainable and GOTS, GRS, RAF, FSC® certified materials, and applies the 4sustainability® Chem, Planet and Materials protocols to achieve the objectives of its sustainable development strategy.
Our collections are divided into Haute Couture, Prêt-à-porter, Accessories, Home Collection.

We also offer to our customers design services and studies as well as the services of the printing and dying mill for third parties.
The continuous research for beauty and innovation, the careful consideration of the environmental, social and economic impact generated by our activities is combined with the decision to become a Società Benefit and the listing on the Euronext Growth Milan stock exchange, in support of the responsible growth of the Gentili Mosconi Group.

OUR HISTORY

1988

The initial bet

Francesco Gentili and Patrizia Mosconi set up the Gentili Mosconi company in the centre of Como, specialising in men’s/women’s textile accessories – scarves, ties, foulards characterised by original embroidery, yarn-dyeing and fil coupé that differed from the classical silk prints of the Como area.

1990

The Relocation

The company moved from the centre of Como to its current location in Casnate con Bernate, where it continues to produce scarf articles and abandons tie-making.

1999

The Growth

Gentili Mosconi specializes in the production of fabrics with a focus on women’s clothing.

2005

Gentili Mosconi Home

Thanks to Patrizia Mosconi’s entrepreneurial spirit, “Gentili Mosconi Home is born, producing textiles for home furnishings, yachting and hotellerie.

2011

The archive

The first company archives are created, collecting the entire know-how of Gentili Mosconi, a unique collection of fabrics and designs that the style office uses to develop textile projects.

2012

Going Green

Gentili Mosconi inaugurates a new 1750 m2 ecofriendly facility -the first of its kind in the Como area.

2015

EMME

Acquires “EMME”, a historic printing mill in Como, specialized in the printing of textiles.

2016

Elle.A.Ci.Ti Laboratory

The company acquired a minority share in Elle.A.Ci.Ti., a laboratory, specialized in the chemical analysis of textiles which was founded in 2015 and accredited by Accredia UNI CEI EN ISO/ISO 17025 to assess the conformity of performance requirements of raw materials, intermediates and finished products, ensuring quality and sustainability.

2017

The New Showroom

The “Gentili Mosconi Home” showroom is inaugurated in the prestigious premises of an old furnace dating back to the 1800s.

2019

New York City

Gentili Mosconi opens an office in New York City to provide better service to its clients in America.

2023

Stock exchange listing

Transformation into a Benefit Company

Gentili Mosconi makes its debut on the Euronext Growth Milan market and transforms itself into a Benefit Corporation to strengthen its commitment to sustainability.

2024

Fondazione Gentili Mosconi

In February 2024, Gentili Mosconi established the Gentili Mosconi Foundation ETS, a non-profit entity, with the aim of pursuing and preserving the Made in Italy textile tradition while encouraging and promoting Italian textile culture in its various expressions, in art as well as in fashion design, supporting the creativity of young talents.

Tintoria Comacina

The company acquired Tintoria Comacina, a company in the province of Como with more than forty years of history and active in the dyeing and finishing of classic silk fabrics.

Creazioni Digitali

Gentili Mosconi takes a minority stake in Creazioni Digitali, a printing mill in the province of Como, which specialises in pigmented digital sublimation printing on fabrics and garments, without the use of water.

2024

Fili di Inovazione

In December 2024, Gentili Mosconi established the company FILI DI INNOVAZIONE S.r.l., subscribing to 30% of its share capital. The company is headquartered in Como.
FILI DI INNOVAZIONE is the first service company dedicated to innovation within the textile district of Como. The initiative, developed through a collaboration between Gentili Mosconi among other local companies, aims to strengthen the global presence of the Made in Italy brand and support the transformation of the luxury textile sector and the Como district.

2025

Gentili Mosconi acquires Manifatture Tessili Bianchi & C. Srl.

Manifatture Tessili Bianchi, founded in 1981 in the Como textile district, is a company specialized in producing high-quality fabrics for luxury women’s fashion. It manages the entire production process and stands out for its commitment to sustainability, using eco-friendly fibers such as Naia™ and Ecovero™.
